Untitled 2006 JPG

Missing, 2006

For the show “Captured Moments” curated by Lee Rimon, in support of the 3 Israeli abducted soldiers, I presented a work showing three white shirts flying in the wind, like white flags, with the word ‘Peace’ in the background written in different languages. This was photographed on the Sherover Promenade in Jerusalem where the French artist, Clara Halter exhibited her ‘Peace Tents.’

Lee Rimon gathered hundred of works by photographers and artists alike in support of Udi Goldwasser, Eldad Regev and Gilad Shalit. Udi and Regev were abducted in Israel along with the Lebanese border in July 2006, sparking the Second Lebanon War. Two year later their coffins were returned in exchange of Hezbollah prisoners. The third soldier Gilad Shalit, was abducted by the Hamas near Kerem Shalom, not far from the Israeli border with Gaza on 25 June 2006. The Hamas militants held him for over five years, until his release on 18 October 2011 as part of a prisoner exchange deal.

The show that also encompass the photographic work of Udi Goldwasser was shown in various places around the country.
